Experience Las Vegas
When most people think of Las Vegas, they think of The Strip with its ornate casinos, exquisite shows, and incessant gambling. Las Vegas prides itself on being labeled "Sin City." We have all heard their most recent cliche "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas." Las Vegas is known as a city of abundant sin.
What few people realize is that Las Vegas is also one of the fastest growing cities in America! It has a current population of 1.8 million and an estimated population in the next 10-15 years of 3.5 million! With 6-7 thousand new residents a month (200 peple a day!) relocating to the Vegas valley, a new home being completely every 20 minutes, over 4 new streets a day being paved, a new school opening every month, and multitudes of young families now in the valley, Las Vegas is also an area in desperate need of the good news of Jesus Christ. Over 85% of the population is unchurched and over 1 million residents profess NO religious affiliation! Las Vegas is an opportunity for Romas 5:20 to become a reality ~ where sin abounds...grace abounds even more!
Las Vegas has something to offer for people of all ages! Where else ca you have lunch in a Parisian cafe, explore the Egyptian pyramids, take a gondola ride in Venice, and ride a roller coaster ride in New York all in one day?! You can take in one of the many shows, spend an afternoon at Aventuredome-an indoor theme park, or ever extend your trip a day or two to explore the nearby Grand Canyon or Hoover Dam. Whatever you are looking, you're likely to find it in Las Vegas!
